The Story…

A word that can refer to a variety of places and establishments: A saloon, bar or corner.

In the southwestern part of the US, this means a place with a Mexican motif that serves traditional Mexican alcoholic drinks.

Long ago in rural Mexico, a cantina traditionally referred to a kind of bar that was frequented only by men for the purpose of imbibing alcohol and partaking of Botanas (little bites).

As time passed, cantina owners realized that by allowing women into the cantinas, men stayed longer. As a result, the atmosphere became more joyful, which made the cantinas more profitable.

Our staff would like to salute the first cantina owners for having the business sense to change the old tradition.

Features of La Cantina include two private Balcony rooms for parties, celebrations, birthdays or team building events. Our Upper Balcony seats 16, while the Lower Balcony seats 18.
